Mission Statement:

We increase client-shareholder value by designing workforce development solutions – focusing solely on the dynamics of human capital and performance.

Our design-solutions improve personal efficiency while impacting leadership effectiveness and culture.

Our competitive advantage is in the successful implementation of the skill sets and competencies defined by emotional intelligence and supported by the inter and intra-personal skill sets in the studies of personality styles – to which we teach and apply the D.I.S.C. instrument.

History

Taylor-Made Concepts, LLC was originally founded in April of 1993 in Alexandria, Louisiana. What started as a small entrepreneur’s dream has now grown into an international service provider in the field of human performance.

Two decades of success in designing, developing and implementing workforce solutions serving the US and Canada. Our client portfolio ranges from the Private and Public sector, Corporate to small business entrepreneurs, Sports and Athletics, Oil & Gas, Electric Utilities and most recently Law Enforcement.

In July of 1997 TMC moved into our current facility located in the heart of Central Louisiana. It was at this time TMC became a competent innovator in online learning in the Electric Utility sector.

Strategically, TMC established national relationships with other content-providers to strengthen our position in providing turn-key training solutions.  By expanding our training product line TMC was able to offer multiple training disciplines to include technical, compliance, team-building and leadership training.

In 2004 The Louisiana Workforce Commission recognized TMC as one of the first private training providers under the Incumbent Workers Training Program (IWTP & SBET).  As an authorized agent of the state TMC works directly with Louisiana employers to determine skill gaps and provide comprehensive training solutions that are funded by the IWTP/SBET guidelines. TMC offers turn-key solutions to include employee needs assessments, grant writing and administration and training.

In 2008 TMC entered into the Sports and Athletics market. Maintaining a focus on emotional intelligence training and development TMC designed and developed our first full length course curriculum, The Mental & Emotional Training (M.E.T.) program. TMC enjoys delivering the M.E.T. and custom workshops for many different stakeholders to include Owners, Directors, High Performance Teams, Athletic Coaches, Trainers and Athletes at all competitive levels.

In 2010 the firm reached another major growth milestone when designing an innovative video solution for a client in the Oil & Gas sector. The Human Performance Platform (HPP; formerly the VCP – Visual Communication Platform). This video design remains a primary business line for TMC and has since been duplicated on multiple construction projects in both the US and Canada.  Now in it’s 9 version of best practices and lessons learned when implementing on large industrial construction projects.

In 2013 our founding director – Parrish Owen Taylor became a nationally published author with his first book – Mental5. A first edition focus on athletes – the 2nd edition has since been modified for general use and included in a new series of emotional intelligence training products. There are a total of six (6) different models in the full curriculum.  To learn more visit the Coaching Models on the Top Navigation.

In 2014 Oil & Gas clients contacted from a new industrial project in Carmon Creek, Canada.  The project enabled TMC to expand into an international market place with new relationships and opportunities to serve.

In 2015 TMC introduced the Tactical EQ4 Law Enforcement Training – a custom designed course for law enforcement and first responders. The core curriculum of the M.E.T. program has been adapted to meet the high-pressure demands of law enforcement to include key training to support officer survival skills, and performance under pressure.

In 2017 a new client relationship in the Electric Utility sector developed a new EQ based course:  Distraction Training – The Technical Skill of Concentration.  This course has been delivered to frontline craft and trades delivering a very simple approach to improve performance.  Adaptations to the course have created a train the trainer version for organizations to begin implementing into various job-titles.

In 2018 – based on aligning with industry stakeholder Incident Prevention and new client relationships in the Northeastern US, TMC’s Tactical EQ4 Electrical Utilities becomes an anticipated new course offering for 2019 within the IBEW / NECA Apprenticeship Training Program.
